Stronger Together
Deanna Boston believes that strong communities are built through intention, leadership, and collaboration. As the Founder and CEO of Strategic Community Consulting, she brings nearly thirty years of experience helping companies and nonprofits align community engagement with business strategy to achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes.
Through Strategic Community Consulting, Deanna partners with companies to move beyond transactional giving toward intentional community investment. Her work focuses on helping organizations clarify goals and design partnerships with nonprofits that support leadership development, employee engagement, and long-term business priorities while addressing real community needs.
Deanna’s background includes extensive local and national nonprofit leadership experience, having led organizations through exponential growth and transformation, including the development of award-winning programs. She has worked closely with corporate partners throughout her career, giving her a practical understanding of how nonprofits operate and how companies can engage with them effectively, responsibly, and strategically. Her graduate research on nonprofit laws contributed to updates in Oklahoma nonprofit statutes, strengthening accountability and modernizing regulations, an experience that continues to inform her work around governance, risk awareness, and sound community investment.
In addition to her consulting work, Deanna is a teacher, facilitator, and frequent speaker. She teaches university-level courses and delivers national training sessions for corporate and nonprofit leaders, equipping them with practical tools and strategic frameworks for community engagement, governance, and leadership. She holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a Certified Education Foundation Leader (CEFL).
At the center of Deanna’s work is a belief that when companies engage with the community intentionally and in alignment with their values and strategy, they strengthen their organizations, their people, and the communities where they do business.
Let’s build a better community together.
