Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park
Melissa Pepper has called Oklahoma home since 2013. Originally from Kansas City and a graduate of the University of Kansas, she brings a wealth of experience from a career that spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
Melissa has held significant roles throughout her career, including serving as director of sponsorship, sales and marketing for the House of Blues Club Network Division, director of festivals and events at Myriad Botanical Gardens, major gifts officer for the OETA Foundation, chief development officer at Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma and vice president of membership for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. In her new role as executive director of The Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park, Melissa draws on her extensive background in event planning, fundraising, membership development, capital campaigns, and nonprofit leadership to enrich the cultural landscape of Oklahoma City. Deeply committed to her community, Melissa is a board member of Downtown Rotary Club 29, a member of Leadership Oklahoma City Class 37, and board member of Cycle 66. She is passionate about placemaking, fostering connections and supporting the growth of Oklahoma.
When she’s not busy making an impact at work or in the community, Melissa resides in Edmond, where she enjoys quality time with her son and dogs.
