Fostering Sweet Dreams
Fostering Sweet Dreams was founded in March 2016, by Kristy and Randy Payne in Edmond, OK. Kristy and Randy fostered their first child in 2006 and realized very quickly the strain of becoming foster parents. They eventually fostered another newborn and later, officially adopted both children. Realizing the limited resources available for providing beds to foster children, which is an item required by OHS for a child to enter a home, Randy and Kristy knew they had to do something. They soon began receiving donations and finding families that needed beds. There was never a shortage of families that needed beds, and Kristy and Randy have continued to raise awareness of this need in our community. What started eight years ago, as a dream of giving out some beds from their garage, has grown into impacting an average of 90 children each month. FSD impacted 305 children in its first 10 months and has now impacted over 7,200 Oklahoma children.
