OKC Baseball Foundation
After working for the Department of Army for 10 years in Family Readiness, Carol Herrick transitioned to working for various nonprofits at the local and national level. She was named Employee of the Year for her work at Operation Homefront, a prominent national nonprofit that serves military families and wounded warriors. As the Senior Director of Field Operations, she managed 17 field offices across the US, and developed national programming such as Holiday Meals for the Military, Back to School Brigade, and Homefront Celebrations. Carol continues to serve military families and Veterans as a member of the USO-Oklahoma/Arkansas Advisory Board of Directors.
Carol has worked for the OKC Baseball Foundation since May 2019. The OKC Baseball Foundation was established in March 2015 with a mission to support the Oklahoma community through creative partnerships, charitable contributions and programming initiatives. The Foundation's biggest program is the Rookie League platform of programming which includes creative partnerships and focuses on helping kids PLAY. By bringing in national resources, such as MLB and USA Softball/Baseball, kids across Oklahoma benefit.
Carol loves working with the nonprofit sector; she enjoys building relationships in order to facilitate impact in her community. Carol believes that the best assistance we give does not always involve writing a check—it is about finding the right resources!
Carol is a lifelong baseball fan. She grew up in New England and loves watching the Boston Red Sox. She lives in Oklahoma with her husband of 29 years, retired 1SGT Donald Herrick. They have two adult children: Jessica and Matthew.
