A native Texan and now longtime Oklahoman, David Fisk has worked for newspapers in Texas and Oklahoma since he first picked up a camera about 1970, and has a knack for finding interesting perspectives in his photography. He is a 1975 graduate of East Texas State University (now Texas A&M Commerce). He was managing editor of The Commerce Journal after college and then moved to Tyler, Texas where he was city editor of the newspaper there. He came to Oklahoma in 1979 as an editor with The Oklahoman newspaper.
He retired from The Oklahoman in 2007 and opened Images Gallery, The Art of Sport, a sports art gallery in Edmond.
After deciding to close the business in 2010 he has spent much of his time traveling the back roads and byways of Oklahoma and the southwest with his camera and unique eye. His many passions include baseball, great Barbecue, spicy foods, reading, Rock N' Roll and Blues music, and discovering new places. He lives just a few miles from historic Rt. 66 and has spent many hours discovering its nooks and crannies.
