Edmond Rotary Participates in the for Dr. Seuss 'Read Across America' Day

The Ida Freeman Elementary School librarian was hoping to have 22 community leaders to read to the classes. Thirty-three readers came and some classes were read to twice! Yay for Service above Self.
Edmond Rotarian and Edmond Public Schools Superintendent Bret Towne served green eggs and ham to Clegern Elementary School students during the nationwide celebration.
Chaired by Carol Hartzog, Edmond Rotary has about 20 members who read on weekly basis at Ida Freeman Elementary including Rotarians retired Edmond Police Chief Bob Ricks, Krista Jones, DDS, and Edmond City Attorney Steve Murdock and many more!
