Oklahoma State Senate

Senator Kristen Thompson was elected in 2022 to represent Oklahoma’s 22nd District, which includes parts of Oklahoma and Canadian counties. A fourth-generation Oklahoman, Kristen grew up in Fort Gibson and graduated from The University of Oklahoma.

For over a decade, Kristen and her husband, Bryce, have successfully built and expanded several small businesses in the commercial construction and hospitality industries. Their ventures have created over 250 quality jobs in the Oklahoma City metro area, making a significant impact on the local economy.

Prior joining the Senate, Kristen was deeply involved in serving her community. She volunteered extensively in her children’s public schools on the school bond committee as well as a successful capital campaign for new signage.  Senator Thompson proudly served on the Visit Edmond Tourism board as a representative of the restaurant industry and contributed to the board’s subcommittees focused on youth sports and event growth, with fruitful efforts to increase sales tax revenue. Additionally, Kristen is an active member of the Tri Delta Children’s Foundation, supporting pediatric cancer programs throughout Oklahoma.

Kristen is married to her high school sweetheart, Bryce, and are proud parents to Brice (14), Graham (12), and Brooks (6). The Thompson family has been a part of Frontline Church since 2012, where they have led a community group and were critical partners in the Edmond campus launch.

Kristen’s commitment to service and community is reflected in her work both professionally and legislatively. Her approach, grounded in the philosophy of “People Over Politics,” ensures that she remains dedicated to listening to and supporting the needs of her constituents.
